Jay Broemmel builds all sorts of rolling conceptual artworks. His creations are especially brilliant, in our opinion, because the conception never gets in the way of immaculate craftsmanship, or attempts to be a replacement for it. His current body of work may be seen Here.

Howdy, Jay at Slouchcycles here. Got another cranked out for the 10th anniversary Critical Mass ride last Friday. The Buttercup Bike is a Cleveland Welding Roadmaster tricked-out with flame seat, chainring, tires & airbrushed highlights all around. Made it for my girlfriend since she's such a little hellion. Hope you
like it.

They started making all this iron cross stuff, so I figured I should build a bike with it. It started life as an Evans cruiser. Below Right: LED upgrade for the front light
Mars Bike
Howdy,
Here's the latest. Built with the co-operation of the Bay View Space Agency, it's the Mars Global
Explorer bike. All aluminium, full suspension, answering the question no one thought to ask; "What
will people ride on Mars?" As soon as we figure out how to get a
7- month supply of beer into space you'll be seeing us in the news.
"SlouchBatBike"
Howdy,
Another new bike. Haven't figured out a good angle to shoot this from to tell what's going on with the wings. When people ask what the wings are for, I say "plowing through lines of riot cops". Should have some good new shots of the Golden Gate Bike soon with the blue neon on the underneath.

Below: "Schwinn Broom"
It's Wizard of Oz, NOT Harry Potter. This is my phantom restoration of an extremely rare Schwinn Broom. Only 10 were built for the cast of the Wizard of Oz. This one was owned by Ray Bolger, who played the scarecrow.

I updated the flame unit from coal to propane for modern emissions regulations. Thanks for looking,
