Below: thought I would send some pics of a chopper I built about a year and a half ago.  I started out with a scooter frame, the rest is electrical conduit (I build on a budget).  The bike has 2 Stingray 20" wheels, a hand formed aluminum seat and a custom springer front end.  For paint I started with a flat black base and airbrushed metallic blue in various patterns over the frame, wheels and handlebars.  The bike is semi-difficult to ride due to the steering tube rake, but it still is a lot of fun.  Thanks for the site, cut em' up! Mike Starring: "Garth" and Chopper
Hi, my name is Mike Starring.  Thank you for an awesome website and all the inspiration it has provided.  I have been following the site for the last couple of years and thought I would finally send in some pics of my latest bike.  My bike, "Garth", started out as a Schwinn Jaguar cheapo purchased from Target.  I stretched the frame, lowered the bike and put in a sprung seat mount and springer front end.  The bike has regular 26" alloy wheels and v pattern tires.
.
Then I decided to put a 2-stroke on it, so I got an 80cc bike engine and set aside the tank that comes with the kit.  I used a piece of 5" conduit for the fuel tank then brazed ends and a fill neck on it.  The bike has a lot of copper details: wind screen, chain guard, mirror, sprocket plates and headlight.  The headlight is a landscape light from Home Depot that runs off of a 12v battery that you can see in the view of the left side of the bike where the tank would be.  The battery is made of 10 NiMH 1.2v rechargeable cells mounted into a piece of cherry wood.
. .
A few other features are a suicide style clutch, hand formed aluminum seat and custom exhaust I lengthened using an old set of 10 speed drop handlebars.  The "Garth" on the tank is my middle name, just thought it sounded cool and fit the old look/theme of the bike.  Finished it all off with a few coats of flat black rattle can spray paint.  The bike rides great and gets a lot of looks.
