I would be honoured to share my vision and build with BikeRod&Kustom.
This bike started out as an early '60s Western Flyer. I built it for a Bike Build Off on a great Forum I am on called The frame is finished in Krylon "Make It Suede". I primed the rims and finished them, rattle-can style like the frame, in "Hot Rod Red".
The grips are my custom design and they are simply a 50 Cal. blank wedged into the bars with 7mm ones wrapped around the bars. The handle bars are the stock bars flipped for the low "board tracker" look. The rear wheel and Nexus 3-speed were from a donor bike, and I fabricated the suicide shifter from an old 5 speed lever, 3 rolls of hockey tape, and a glass door Knob I had in my stash.
I used a B-72 Brooks saddle well-worn- in, and it's as uncomfortable as sitting on a tray of busted glass. The front fender was stock and I Dremeled it out, after designing it, in the shape of "Pin-Stripes" and pin-striped it afterward. The crank has a 50's pin-up girl that I Mod-Podged on in multiple coats of Satin Clear. The tank I made from bass wood and applied the "cooling fins" out of balsa wood and finished it off to look like a traditional Offenhauser "High Performance Flat Head Ford" Option. The Bike's Name is "Pin-It". There are some BEAUTIFUL Bikes here at BR&K from all over the World, and I would be honoured to share my build with the rest of the bunch,
