I call this bike C.A.M. (Custom American Made). It's a combination of bikes thrown together to make the end product. I used BMX style handlebars to give me the height I wanted. I extended the forks and used a mountain bike shock and quick release skewers to strengthen the front end. The front tire and rim are off a BMX bike as well. The rear wheel and saddle came from an old 26" Columbia 10-speed. The black derailer was a nice addition to make it a 5-speed cruiser. The frame was originally a 3-speed comfort bike. I added a thumb shifter for safety, because you need both hands on the bars for the best stability. I topped it off with dual motorcycle mirrors and a 'Hot Wheels' headlight for better visibilty. The duel 'exhaust' pipes on the back can hold 2 Estes rocket motors for some smokin' fun when I ride it in next years 4th of July parade! She'll be decked out with flags and streamers for the occasion. Thanks for checking out my ride. |
