My name is Bob Rose and I live in California. I've been in the bicycle game for 20 years, restoring 1930-1960 balloon tire bicycles. When I found the CBN site on the internet it inspired me to build a chopper bicycle like no other chopper bicycle. I first drew a full-scale concept drawing of the bike and began building. The concept was to build a bike that looked like a real chopper motorcycle, but was pedal powered; so that you would literally be deceived until you got close enough to it to realize it was a bicycle, thus the name of the bike DECEIVER!
.
The bike and all of its parts are completely hand-crafted. The frame was custom-built from 1" tubing. The crank system is built into an all-aluminum handbuilt v-twin mock motor and transmission, with 2 cylinders, rocker covers, and stainless steel Mikuni-style carbs, and stainless steel 1 1/2" exhaust. The front fender is made from a 1950s Monarch Super Deluxe rear fender, and the rear fender is a front motorcycle builder's fender. The tank area is fiberglass, but the seat and battery area is hand formed metal. The front end is all hand-crafted aluminum with 1" steel tubing handle bars. The hand grips and pedals were hand-crafted out of aluminum. The 24x3 rear wheel and the 26x2 front wheel were custom built by Quickspeed. Front and rear tires are Innova. The kustom candy Orange Glow and Custard paint work was done with PPG paints. All other non-painted parts were chromed. This bike was a labor of love, taking me a full year to complete. Hope you enjoy the bike!!  Bob
